KICK-OFF MEETING
GIFTED partners met online on January 14th to kick off the project activities.
The event was assumed to be held in presence but due to the COVID-19 related safety measures it has been held as an online synchronous meeting.
The first part of the meeting was dedicated to a deepening of mutual knowledge, and a friendly and positive atmosphere was immediately created, allowing us to discuss the objectives and all the project implementation phases.
The project, through a transnational and collaborative process, involve partners from four EU countries (Italy, Croatia, Portugal, Romania) and one non-EU member (United Arab Emirates). All consortium partners are represented by qualified PhD-level researchers who have led and participated in projects, including EU projects, related to disadvantaged students and students with special educational needs, social and emotional skills, teacher training, curriculum development, resilience education and assessment, digital education and e-learning.
All participants are excited to develop an innovative online game-based training course on gifted education, that aims to become a curriculum for teachers across and outside Europe.
During the three-year project we will also develop a screening tool that will facilitate teachers in identifying gifted students in the classroom.
It is an exciting challenge to integrate our knowledge and expertise to create tools that are suitable for the different cultural and social contexts of the countries involved. To keep up with news on project developments stay tuned and subscribe to our newsletter!!!
