GIFTED Project at the ATEE Winter Conference
The first dissemination activity of the GIFTED Project, Games and Inclusion for Teacher Education, took place during the Winter Conference of the Association for Teacher Education in Europe ATEE in Sestri Levante. The international conference dedicated to education and all its stakeholders focused on how to work together to create educational environments able to respond to the needs of different students, promoting inclusion.
During this important event, we had the opportunity to share the aims of the GIFTED project with Italian and international participants, reflecting and discussing how to support teachers in developing their competencies to create significant learning environments aimed at inclusion.
“Our challenge for the near future is to design training paths and tools for teachers using those technological inputs that are close to the world of the new generation of students”, explained Dr. Roberta Renati, talking about the GIFTED project. “Our goal is to support teachers in developing new competencies and attitudes to respond to the educational needs of gifted and talented students. Self-reflection, knowledge, creativity, and emotions are key concepts that can lead to an innovative and more concrete approach to learning and teaching, where collaboration and experiential learning are the grounds for the co-construction of a meaningful learning experience”.
